Welcome to Prune Orchard Photography!

I have always loved photographs. Photographs, for me, are a way of solidifying moments that are gone all too quickly. I have always loved taking pictures, but since having children, I have an increased sense of urgency to have some tangible evidence of the little people who so quickly disappear into bigger people. I want to save the ways that they smile, the color of their changing eyes, and even the grubby faces and cuts and bruises that make them... them.

My work is about capturing moments, just how they are. I want you to be able to keep the beauty of your current reality; the chemistry, the laughter, and the affection that make your life worth living every day for. My philosophy is that real is beautiful. I believe I can paint you and your family in a flattering light, without changing who you are in this moment. Spend an hour or two with me and we will capture YOU and YOUR family, exactly how you are today; flaws and all. You will want to remember what today was like. Because tomorrow, today will be gone.

It seems only fitting that the photo ending this blog post was taken on the road who's name inspired Prune Orchard Photography. Prune Orchard Road, and the people I always come back to find on it, will always mean home. And home is where the sweetest, and most lasting memories are made.
